Job Title

CNC Programmer cum Setter

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer cum Setter to join our manufacturing team. The candidate will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC machines to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and production requirements.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Create and modify CNC programs for machining operations.
  • Set up CNC machines including tooling, fixtures, offsets, and work coordinates.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for efficient machining.
  • Perform trial runs and optimize machining parameters.
  • Operate CNC machines when required to ensure smooth production.
  • Inspect finished components using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Troubleshoot machining and programming issues.
  • Maintain production quality and minimize material wastage.
  • Ensure machines are properly maintained and cleaned.
  • Follow workplace safety procedures and company standards.
  • Coordinate with production and quality departments for timely delivery. 

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of CNC programming (Fanuc/Siemens/Mazak or similar controllers).
  • Experience in CNC turning and milling machine setup.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of G-code and M-code programming.
  • Familiarity with measuring instruments and quality inspection techniques.
  • Understanding of tooling selection and machining parameters.
